SAYWARD MCCULLOUGH, PMHNP
Sayward McCullough is an advanced practice registered nurse and a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 20 years of nursing experience. A Virginia Beach native, Sayward served in the United States Air Force, where she honed her skills in patient care and teamwork. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Union University in Jackson, TN. Sayward’s clinical training included hands-on experience at a VA Medical Center and community mental health centers, where she provided care to diverse patient populations, with a strong focus on mental health and wellness.
Sayward specializes in assessing, diagnosing, and treating the mental health needs of adults across the lifespan. She provides comprehensive medication management, develops personalized treatment plans, and offers holistic care, drawing on her expertise in anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Her approach to care is rooted in evidence-based practices, patient-centered care, and a commitment to improving mental health outcomes through quality, coordinated, and compassionate care.
